Our Journey

Our journey began high above the clouds, where we met while working as flight attendants. You could say love was in the air—but so was a shared passion for exploring the world. What began as a shared adventure grew into a lifelong love of discovering new destinations, cultures, and unforgettable experiences.

That passion led us into the world of group travel. For more than a decade, we’ve owned and operated a successful group travel company, designing, planning, and leading highly rated Road Scholar programs throughout the American West. Along the way, we’ve welcomed thousands of guests from across the country and discovered that the most memorable journeys are about more than the places you visit—they’re about the people you meet and the experiences you share.

Over the years, our Tour Directors heard the same question from guests again and again: “Where are you taking us next?”

Many also told us, “We’d travel anywhere with you.” Those conversations inspired the creation of Compass Travel.

Today, Compass Travel combines carefully curated international journeys, trusted travel partners, expert local guides,

and experienced Travel Hosts to create seamless, enriching travel experiences from beginning to end.
